Terms & Policies

Please read these terms carefully before booking your sessions. By registering with Takalam, you agree to these policies.

Payment Terms

  • All payments must be made in advance before sessions begin.
  • We accept bank transfers (CIH Bank) and PayPal payments.
  • Payment proof (screenshot) must be uploaded directly in the registration form before submitting.
  • Sessions will only be scheduled after payment is verified.
  • Package prices are fixed as listed on the website. Special requests may have different pricing.

Refund Policy

  • Full refund (100%) available if you cancel before your first session starts.
  • 80% refund if you cancel within the first week of starting your package (minus completed sessions).
  • 50% refund if you cancel within the first month of starting your package (minus completed sessions).
  • No refunds after 30 days from package start date. Plan your commitment carefully.
  • Refunds are processed within 7-14 business days to your original payment method.
  • For group sessions: Full refund if the group doesn't form within 30 days of payment.

Rescheduling Policy

  • Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice at no extra cost.
  • Rescheduling requests should be made via WhatsApp.
  • Same-day rescheduling is subject to availability and may not always be possible.
  • Each session can only be rescheduled once. Further changes may count as a cancellation.
  • Rescheduled sessions must be completed within your package validity period.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will result in the session being marked as completed.
  • No-shows (missing a session without notice) will be counted as a completed session.
  • If you need to cancel your entire package, contact us as soon as possible for refund eligibility.
  • Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in restrictions on future bookings.

Session Rules

  • Each session is 50 minutes long.
  • Sessions are conducted via Zoom or Google Meet. The link will be shared before each session.
  • Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet environment.
  • Camera on is recommended for better interaction, but not mandatory.
  • Be ready at least 5 minutes before your scheduled session time.
  • If the teacher is unable to attend, the session will be rescheduled at no cost to you.

Communication Guidelines

  • Primary communication is through WhatsApp for scheduling and quick questions.
  • Response time is typically within 24 hours on business days.
  • For urgent matters, please send a WhatsApp message clearly marked as urgent.
  • Email (takalamenglishcenter@gmail.com) is available for formal inquiries.

Package Validity

  • Single sessions must be used within 2 weeks of purchase.
  • Weekly packages must be completed within 2 weeks of the start date.
  • Monthly packages must be completed within 5 weeks of the start date.
  • Trimester packages must be completed within 4 months of the start date.

Code of Conduct

  • Treat each session with respect and professionalism.
  • Inappropriate behavior or language will result in immediate session termination without refund.
  • Recording of sessions is not permitted without prior written consent.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates these terms.

Group Sessions Policy

  • Group sessions start only when the required number of learners is registered (5 or 10 depending on group type).
  • Payment reserves your seat. Your spot is confirmed upon successful payment verification.
  • If a group does not reach the required number within 30 days, you will receive a full refund.
  • Group sessions follow a fixed schedule. Rescheduling individual sessions is not possible.
  • Missed group sessions cannot be made up individually. You are responsible for attending at fixed times.
  • A 15-minute oral diagnostic test with a tutor is included to assess your level before the group starts.
  • If you miss more than 4 consecutive sessions without notice, your spot may be given to another learner.
  • Learners who drop out after the group starts do not affect remaining learners' schedules.

  • Once your group is complete, Takalam will contact you to confirm the schedule and start date.

Kids Program Policy

  • Kids programs are available for children ages 6-16.
  • A parent or guardian must be present during the first session for children under 12.
  • Parents will receive progress updates after each session via WhatsApp.
  • Sessions are designed to be interactive and age-appropriate.
  • If a child is consistently disruptive, we reserve the right to pause sessions and discuss with parents.
  • Parental consent is required for all enrollments. The registration form must be completed by a parent/guardian.

Corporate Training Policy

  • Corporate programs require a minimum commitment of 10 sessions per employee.
  • Custom pricing is available based on group size and training requirements.
  • A needs assessment meeting will be scheduled before training begins.
  • Progress reports can be provided to HR/management upon request.
  • Corporate invoicing is available with NET 15 payment terms for established companies.
  • Rescheduling corporate sessions requires 48 hours notice (instead of 24 hours for individual sessions).

Exam Preparation Policy

  • Exam prep packages include mock tests, writing feedback, and speaking practice.
  • We recommend starting preparation at least 2-3 months before your exam date.
  • Study materials and practice tests are provided digitally at no extra cost.
  • Takalam does not guarantee specific exam scores, but we commit to comprehensive preparation.
  • Exam registration fees are not included in our packages and must be paid directly to test centers.
  • If you need to postpone due to exam date changes, please inform us immediately.
