These are the practical rules for booking and running sessions with Takalam. Registering means you accept them. They are meant to be fair rather than fine print -- if something here does not fit your situation, message us and we will work it out.

Payments

Payment is made directly by bank transfer or PayPal before sessions begin. Upload your payment screenshot during registration -- we verify it by hand and confirm your spot by WhatsApp or email, usually within 24 to 48 hours.

We accept bank transfer and PayPal only. The prices shown on the site are the prices; we never ask for card numbers.

Booking & confirmation

You choose a package, pay, then fill in the registration form with your payment screenshot. We check it by hand and confirm your place by WhatsApp or email. Sessions are scheduled once payment is confirmed -- for Private you book your own slots, for Speak you join the next group that fits your level.

How sessions work

Private is one to one, 50 minutes, and you book your own slot. Speak is small groups aiming for 10 learners, 90 minutes, twice a week, in breakout pairs and trios so everyone actually speaks. Both run over Zoom or Google Meet -- the link is sent before each session. Be ready a few minutes early; camera on is welcome but not required.

Before a Speak group starts, you get a short spoken check-in with the teacher so you land in a group at your level.

Rescheduling

Private: reschedule free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Speak: sessions follow the group's fixed schedule and aren't made up individually, which is exactly why the price is low.

Send reschedule requests on WhatsApp. Same-day changes depend on availability. Each session can be moved once; repeated last-minute changes are counted as a used session.

Cancellation & refunds

You can cancel at any time, in two clicks. If you've attended two sessions or fewer, you get a full refund within 14 days. Further along than that, message us -- we'll work out a fair solution rather than apply a rigid rule.

For Speak groups: if a group never fills and cannot start, you get a full refund, or you can move to Private or a later group -- your choice.

Session packs

Packs of 3, 5, or 10 Private sessions don't expire on a fixed date. If your schedule changes, message us and we'll work out a pace that fits.

If we have to cancel

If your teacher ever has to miss a session, it is rescheduled at no cost to you, or credited back to your pack -- whichever you prefer.

Conduct & recording

Treat every session with respect. Sessions are never recorded by either side without both people's consent. Repeated no-shows or disruptive behavior may affect future bookings.

Communication

WhatsApp is the fastest way to reach us, and we aim to reply within 24 hours on business days. Email works too for anything formal.
